Linda is a North Carolina Certified Family Law Specialist focusing her practice exclusively on family law, including divorce, child support, child custody, equitable distribution, alimony, and enforcement of orders.

Linda also handles military divorce cases and retirement account and pension division orders. She prepares premarital, post-marital and separation agreements, cohabitation agreements, assists with adoptions and name changes, and litigates all family law issues. Linda is also a North Carolina Certified Family Financial Mediator and was trained in collaborative family law in 2002 and 2018.

Linda was born in the Panama Canal Zone in 1957 where her father was stationed with the U.S. Army. She grew up in Fayetteville, North Carolina, moved to Wilmington to attend UNCW, married in 1980, and raised three children with her husband. They are lucky to have several beautiful grandchildren. Linda and her husband have made Wilmington their home for more than 40 years. She previously practiced as an associate attorney with Ward & Smith, P.A., taught chemistry at John T. Hoggard High School and UNCW, and worked as an assistant principal with New Hanover County Schools and an administrator at UNCW. She became a partner in the firm in 2005. Linda loves being a family law attorney, advocating for her clients and spending time with her family at Wrightsville Beach!
